need help with wiring up new condenser
I'd say it will work.
One lead to each set of points, and ground thru the outside to the frame.

OK - Didn't know he was from Wisconsin. Sometimes in Cleveland, we have to root for the Packers...
Anyway, I didn't read the detailed description and I agree with Brewsky it should work. To add to his comments:
1) Use the long insulated wires from the old condenser to wire the points to the negative terminals on the coils.
2) Wire one lead from the new condenser to each of those wires any way you want. You could also attach them to the negative coil terminals.
3) You could still use the old ground strap to be sure you have a good ground from the condenser case to the frame.

thank you Hahnda and Brewsky,
you are big help
i sent the owner Mike an email and he was quick to respond.
his email response is below
so basically my understanding is to run my green and yellow wires from the negative terminals of each coils to their respective points and to simply attach the green and yellow wires of the condenser to the same terminal on the coils?
i'm gonna run out this morning to see if i can find a new pair of spark plug wires and then give everything a go this afternoon.
i'll let you know how it works and the bike will hopefully be ready to ride later today
Hi Jim,
Which model do you have? And do you have one set of points or two?
Either way connections are the same. If you have two sets of points then connect the yellow wire with green marker to the green wire coming from the points. IF you have two points then also connect the blue wire with yellow marker to the yellow wire coming from the points.
Since these condensers are grounded through the body you will no longer use the two wires going to/coming from the coils. You will need to ensure the condenser has a clean ground through the frame where it is mounted.

She Lives!
after installing new plugs and the new condenser first kick and varooooom.
no arcing between the points at all.
took it out for a shake down ride.
found a few things still needed to be done.
tightened up chain
chain guard needed a little adjusting
right foot peg installed too low
and the left side is miss firing occasionally.
so i guess i gotta figure out the timing a bit and adjust the carbs properly.
but other than that i had the smile of a Cheshire cat the entire time.
it's a unique bike because it's a ca77 dream with a cb77 engine so it had it's challenges.
i'll post some pics and maybe a video of it running when i finish with the tweaks.
and i would say $30 for a couple plugs, a new set of points and a new condenser is a great deal.
i'd definitely buy from Mike again .
/the only comment from my wife was "you look a little big for the bike" :(
can't wait till the next time she asks me how she looks in her new jeans :)
