Hello everyone. Tonight I found and purchased a Honda Dream 305 CC's. I also just signed up on this site and this will be my first post and it looks like a great place to be if you own one of these great bikes.
Although I own a Goldwing this Dream is the nicest looking designed bike I've ever seen.
I have the numbers off the bikes frame and engine.
Engine number # C77E- 1004620
Frame # C78 - 1004559
Can anyone please tell me the year of this bike? Also when I go to buy parts what type of Dream is it (don't say a bad dream either He! He!)
I attached a picture. She's a bit rough but I will restore her. I haven't seen Dreams with signal light like this one has before. Is it because it was a Canadian bike???
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. Paul

It appears that you have a C78 Dream which is Honda model code 279. That would be a non-American market bike so your winkers are most likely original. From the number it was probably built between 1965-1967.

Thanks oilleak for the info. If my Dream is a C78 will parts off a CA73/CA77 fit and will parts like wheels fit her from a 69 CA77?
Got the little beast running yesterday. It was the first time it was running in over 20 years. Had to clean and adjust the points. Clean the carb and change the oil. Hooked up a battery and a good clean fuel supply and the bike started right up and ran perfectly. The engine sounds great with no ticking of knocking.
Question: Do anyone sell after market rims, mufflers and header pipes for these bikes. If anyone can help me out with these questions I would really appreciated. Ride safe, Paul

Ebay has aftermarket headers all the time.Same seller has aftermarket mufflers(different style though) and did at one time have some rims.

I've seen those on there but was wondering how good they were. Has anyone used the headers and mufflers from him? I noticed the mufflers only have one mounting bracket and the style is differant. There's a place in GP that sells the mufflers for $129. GBP (ouch ) plus headers and shipping.

I bought a pair od Apex header pipes last week, they look very nice. It will be a while before I install however so I can't speak to fit/function. But I don't think that will be an issue.
