Hi, I'm new to the forum and wondering if anyone can help me with this. A few weeks ago I picked up an old Honda Dream. When I first saw it, I noticed a decal on the lower back of the rear fender and that the side bags were made of wood, so I asked him about that. He said that the bike was an old Honda police model, and that he had contacted a Honda dealer a few years earlier and asked them if Honda had ever made CA77 police bikes. They told him that they did make a few, less than 3000. When I got it home, I replaced the battery, replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the points. It hadn't run in 35+ years, but it started right up. He told me that it's a 1963, but the frame # is CA78-1031105 and the engine # is CA77E-1031173, is that right? And is there anything different in the engine, like valve size or generator output? I've known about Honda dreams for a few years but I'm new to owning one and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
