CB77 without a starter motor

I was taking the motor out of my 65 Honda CB77 and noticed the starter motor was missing (something I missed when I bought the bike) the previous owner plugged the hole with a wine bottle cork.

I don't see any leaks around it, so I guess it worked!

that should work fine , as long as the cork came from wine of the proper vintage
