1966 Honda 305 Gas Tank Lines

Post by young4vr » Wed Jan 10, 2007 2:53 pm

I just rebuilt the petcock and have a rebuilt carb, but have no idea how the fuel lines run from the gas tank to the carb. I assume one fuel line goes from the petcock to the carb, but what about the other nipples on the gas tank. Any Help.

there should be two other nipples. one on the right side and one on the left. after the tank is mounted connect the two with a crossover line. this is equalize the fuel level.

I have two nipples on each side of the tank and one coming from the petcock, I wish I had a diagram or picture. I had nothing to go off of when I got the bike.

Hmmm
double crossover maybe ? 1 front , 1 rear ?
I have CB/CL and I don't hook up the crossovers. I cap them off with a short piece of gas line with a 5/16 ball bearing stuck in it. this is so I can easily remove the tanks without worry of gas spilling. the only drawback is that a small amount of fuel in the tank won't be able to reach the petcock.
