A Mixed Up CB/CL/CA77 Project

Post by bill440cars » Tue Mar 27, 2007 8:12 pm

Here is what I've got. I've got a 63' CB77 with a 64' CA77 motor that some previous owner installed. Then I've also got a 67' CL77 rolling chassis. I'm working on getting an actual CB77 motor for my CB77 bike. Putting that aside, I'm gathering parts to convert that CA motor into a CL77 motor. I've already gotten a crankshaft (in great shape, I might add) and I've now just gotten a CL77 head (with a fresh valve job). I think I'm probably going to go the Cafe route like hahnda. Besides the motor part, I haven't made any definite plans beyond that yet. Any input will be appreciated.
Later on, Bill

A Mixed Up CL/CA77 Project Update

Post by bill440cars » Sun May 20, 2007 2:34 pm

Well, I'm still looking to do a build on a CL77 chassis with a CA motor (that I'm going to convert to a CL motor, internally). I've gotten some info about installing a set of 450 carbs and this is cool since I don't have any CB/Cl carbs and I do have some 450 carbs on hand. I'm still open to any suggestions that might be out there.

Later on, Bill

Never did get very far with that Super Hawk, but I've recently started coming across more and more parts, to include nearly a complete 65' CB77 and another buddy who has couple of CB77 Parts Bikes that I'm coming into. So, put that stuff with the old 63' Super Hawk and a 67' CL77 "Roller" that I have, looks like I may FINALLY be able to get a project or 2 or 3 off the ground. Soon as I can do photos, I will be posting them.
