tans shift shaft

Post by ca95dream » Thu Apr 26, 2007 9:28 pm

Hello all. i am new to this forum and i am looking for hlep with a 1966 ca77. the bike runs great but the other day I went to put it in gear and the shifter fell. It turns out the shaft broke. It is a clean break. I was wondering how difficult it is to replace the shaft and if anybody knows where I can get an exploded visual of this area of the bike?

here are some photos.

ps. I ride a 1966 CB77, a 1969 CA77, a 1966 CA77 and I have two projects still in the wings, a 1967 CA77 and a 1969 CD175. Love these old Hondas

Not overly difficult to replace.Need to pull the side cover and start tearing into it.You want to invest in a parts manual since you have so many CA77's, but I have seen them downloaded somehwere.here are acouple photos for you.You can just see the shaft assy in the bootom of the one picture.
