"Wild Super Hawk Vintage Road Racer" Info Wanted

Post by bill440cars » Wed May 23, 2007 7:12 pm

I found a photo of a CB77 Road Racer under "Vintage Road Racers" in the CB77 Section of this site and I'd sure like to know more about the details of this Road Racing bike that is called the "Wild Super Hawk Vintage Road Racer". Is there anyone who knows anything about this bike or where a person might find out some details? Any input on this bike sure would be appreciated. Thanks.

Later on, Bill

This bike is owned by Chuck Kraeuter. I've updated the original page with both images and Chuck's note. Here is what he told me about it:

"This is my bike. ...It is mostly CB72. I raced it mostly as a 250 but also as a 350. It was crashed about four years ago and has not yet been rebuilt; someday maybe. The engine has a doubled oil pump, external oil filter and cooler, and a close ratio 5-speed Nova transmission. The ignition is on the right end of the crank. The 350 head was made from a CR72 so that the combustion chamber could be reshaped to provide more squish."

I'll send him a note that his bike has been receiving some attention. If he decides to join the h305 forum, he might give us some more details...

Hey Michael,

Thanks for the info and the other picture. That really IS quite an impressive looking bike. Sure hope Chuck decides to join our group and builds that bike back. Of course, it would be nice to get any other details on that bike that he's like to share with us too. Thanks again for your efforts Michael.

Same here. What hidden corner of the site do you have this tucked away in? I wonder what else I've missed.

So many topics and so little prime navigation path; I have to use sub-navigation to some areas:

Look for the "Vintage Racers" link - in the navigation under the page title.

one possible path, from here:

a) "Superhawk" link; left menu
b) "Vintage Racers"; below page header
c) "Wild Superhawk" page is linked from small picture; first row, far right.
