rich/lean conditon on CA77
One plug looks lean and the other looks rich when I pull them. Not sure how to procede on this one.Could it be a valve adjustment since one side is rich?Joe

Ed-I was out adjusting the valves today.Should these valves on thes bikes be real quite when adjusted properly or should I hear any valve tap at all?Hope that is not a dumb question?Started to rain so I really can't test drive it for another day or so.I have not checked the compression. No gauge right now.thanks

When set to .004 you will hear the engine because it's aluminum but the tappets should be quiet. .............. lm

Mouse-Finally the rain stopped and was able get the bike out after adjusting valves.Seems now the engine is noisy(tappets I guess) and I did take it for alittle ride and when I checked the plugs they both looked the same. Before one looked lean while the other looked rich.I would say they look closer to what they should be now.Now I guess I should try to readjust the valves alittle tighter.I guess they are alittle off(maybe not all) of the .004.Bike was quiet before I adjusted them.Joe
