Introducing myself and the new ride(s)......pic

Post by nevada72 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 9:14 am

Just wanted to say "Hi" and post my recent addiction (s). A friend bought a CB350 and let me ride it. It rekindled a long lost passion for riding that started at age 5 and fizzled with the onset of kids and careers about 20 years ago. I intended to get a CB350/60 like his but opted for a nice Scrambler. My wife decided to join in and liked the older Hondas. We found her a CB160 that runs like a Swiss watch but needs cosmetic attention. Well, shortly after acquiring the 2 Hondas we saw someone riding a white Dream and the bug had bit. As you can see in the pic, we now have a full house, er, garage. I found a very nice, original (far as I can tell) red 64 Dream 305 in Ohio and a somewhat restored (still needs some minor work here and there) white Dream 150 in Missouri for the wife. This all happened within 2 weeks of that ride on my Buddies CB.

Anyway, glad there's a forum out there for us and having been involved with Porsches and BMWs (cars) I am aquainted with forum decorum, so to speak. The search is your friend, but I will, no doubt, have many questions. Please be patient as I am starting all over again and know little of these wonderful machines. I just LOVE the way these vintage bikes ride!

Wow! Sounds like my story. Had an itch and started buying old Hondas like me and my buddies had in High School when they were new. Now have 10 Hondas and I also do Porsches (83 coupe, and 92 cab and 88 turbo cab).
