i just got a free dream!!

Post by bigscooter » Sat Aug 25, 2007 7:03 pm

wow i'm glad to find you guys. this site is fantastic. i'm really going to need the tech talk!

my first bike was a $200 1965 160 dream, which i stumbled across just last year. i bought it back for $50.

my next dream was a 1961 250 dream. the old guy i got it from demanded 1 dollar per cubic centimeter. lucky for me it wasn't a 305cc cuz i only had $250.

the other day i saw a 305 dream leaning against a fence. i asked the guy about it, and he said just take it. he said he'd dig up the title, and give it to me next week.

it's really sad how, in 20 years these great old motorcycles have become so valueless, and unappealing :-)

this was my old 250 in 1987. i think that seat was a Japanese accessory.

this is the free one. my guess is 1965/66

My heart aches over that blue one. So sad. They're such cool bikes it's a wonder they are ever left to such profound neglect.

As far as board value, unfortunately, the traffic is much lower than forums (car forums) that I am used to. Never the less, the search feature has been helpful so far.

I'd love to find a solo seat similar to the one pictured above. I know Apex Cycle had a black solo seat for the CA77 but it is currently out of stock. I really like the visible springs. Several times I've almost bought the $30 solo seat from eBay but after reading several post on here mentioning how small they are I'm reluctant to purchase it.
