Honda Dream Front Steering Steel Balls

Post by jzaehler » Wed Oct 03, 2007 11:43 pm

I am currently in the process of restoring my honda dream and cannot find the correct part number or size of steel balls that fit into the front races of the steering assembly. The honda part book said steel ball number 8 Times 38. I have checked at several bearing houses and they do not have loose steel balls and whenever i tell them steel ball number eight they give me an odd look than ask what that means. Does any one know what the exact measurement of those steel balls are or where i can find them? This is really hanging me up on my resto. Thanks for your help and advice.

jzaehler,

#8 balls convert to Ø1/4" (Ø.250)
#10 balls are Ø5/16" (Ø.3125)
I got mine through Ohio Cycle.
I think they were $0.10 ea.
