Jim Stuart wrote:O.K. Guys, I need help. The right carb, which has been cleaned many, many times is still not cooperating. I fire it up, and the left is running fine. Did all the tuning stuff. The air jet has almost no effect. If I turn it all the way in, and begin backing it out, I will get a couple fires out of the cylinder. Other than that it has no effect. The idle jet is clear, I did a compression check this morning and both are in the 120# range. I am sure I am overlooking something simple. Any comments??

Thanks,

Jim Stuart
There is gas in the bowl. Have shot thru Carb cleaner and its clear. Everything is clean, just as in the left carb.

I will check valve clearance tomorrow. If they were not correct, would I not get good compression??? Spark jumps a 1/4" gap with a spark tester. I have a set of 8 plugs now, due to replacing them every time I do something different.
