I just checked that link too, and it didn't work for me either -- sorry I goofed! Try this one:
www.wheelhousetyres.com. And the K82's are the 'lightweight' versions of K81's, so they are essentially the same tires (also known as TT100's). I think they were first introduced around 1969 or 1970, so you're kinda in there in terms of vintage.

Thanks Vince, I got on there just fine. Those guys are serious! Did those guy's build your wheels too? The sizes on your bike look good. That's cool that Dunlop made the lightweight 82's

Vince, One more question, where did you get the last set of mufflers you showed in your latest pics (the one I couldn' find!) Thank you, Dave

My guys, Wolf Cycles in Arbutus, Maryland, built my wheels, which are Akronts with original polished hubs with painted black centers, stainless spokes, and the bacon cutters on the front wheel came from Brian Crichton at Classic Bike Magazine. The mufflers are TOGA/Norman Hyde Gold Star 'Twitter' mufflers (although, from what I understand from longtime Brit loyalists, they don't really 'twitter'), and I got them from British Cycle Supply in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. They are at www.britcycle.com. Thanks for asking!
And by the way, I really do swear by those Dunlop tires!

I'm convinced Vince has the coolest SuperHawk.

I'm sold on these Dunlops. What are the advantages of the K82 Lightweights over the heavier TT100s?

Cheers!

Sssshhhhh! Don't say that too loud, or you could start a war! But seriously, thanks very much for those words of encouragement. As far as the tires go, they don't offer K81's in the SuperHawk sizes, and Dunlop's idea (or so I think) was to make the K82's or 'lightweights' for the smaller bikes. They are the same tires, really, just that the 'lightweights' are meant for our size (scaled down K81's, if you will).

The only drawback to ordering those tires from the UK is that you have to pay shipping (which is almost as much as the tire!) and it takes about a week via FedEx Global.

Gotcha well, I found the K82s in Canada... maybe.. waiting to hear back... Are the TT100s the same?
