Found a little park in the Everglades. Parked next to this 1967 car.

that's pretty neat. I have a buddy with a 65 cadilac deville, looks a lot like that car you've got parked next to you there.
I'm doing my damndest to get all my friends on 60's bikes and the like right now. we're all in our early to mid 20's and I think it a local revival for the appreciation of these great looking bikes is in order.

I was up and running for a few days till my right side rear shock started jostlin around a bit, so i ordered a new bolt for it from the honda store in town, and i'll post pics of some rides as soon as i get that shipped.

Found a new place this morning for coffee on my ride north of Baltimore. The owner makes FRESH breakfast sandwiches, and her coffee is of the dollar variety, which suits me just fine.

A nice way to enjoy the back roads, read the paper and watch the world go by.....

That General Store does look like a great place to stop.

Don't know what it's like in your area, but it seems to be getting more difficult to find independent little places like this. Most of the places around here are of the Starbucks or 7-11 variety.

So finding this little general store is a bit of a treasure....

Same here, near impossible to find. Sad too, some of the best places to hang out when I was a kid were the local independently owned "general" stores and listen to the old guys exchange war stories (literally, some times).

Another relentless installment in the 'Today's Ride' section -- do tell me if you're getting tired of these from me!

A nice 90 mile ride this morning, and home by 9am to have breakfast with my wifey. North and west of Baltimore towards Frederick, and stopped in Ellicott City (just west of Baltimore in Howard County) for a little break. This coffee shop is a bit more upscale than I like (WiFi, a multitude of $ 3.00 muffins, etc), but the brew is good, it's an independent outfit, and it's in a nice historic district that has a pleasant ambience. Thankfully the temperature was a bit lower this morning than on previous days these past few weeks, and the bike wanted to go go go today!

Of course, on rides like this, the outfit one decides to wear is very important. Decided to go with a bit of retro European flair this morning - Belstaff Trialmaster jacket, Davida Classic Jet helmet, Halcyon Mark 9 tan leather goggles, a pair of G-Star jeans that I got in Rotterdam last year, a pair of WWII Swedish Military motorcycle despatch gauntlets, silk scarf, and a swanky pair of John Fluevog boots. Sure beats shorts and flip-flops....
