Man - what a day for a ride! Beautiful weather here in Maryland. Low 80's, low humidity, not much traffic (for a Friday before Labor Day). Got all my work done for the week, so decided to go for riding for a few hours. Did about 100 miles backroading, and had another opportunity to test out the new Ruby helmet. Bike ran great and felt like it wanted to go on forever.
I know the 1960's spaceman look isn't for everyone, but maybe this will spark some kind of revival?
Okay, maybe not.
Todays Ride.......
Brrr -- a very chilly morning today. Thermometer read only 44 degrees on the back porch, so this called for the wool long underwear, jacket liner, seaboot socks and two pairs of gloves!
Glorious sunshine bathed Baltimore County, and I was back home in time to help with the honey-do's. Winter is on the way!
How could we not have ridden yesterday?!
After a long and arduous winter, we finally had a beautiful day (sunny and about 58 degrees), and the gang of 4 met up at Lee's place just outside of Baltimore. It was a weird day, as everyone had something going on with their bikes: Scott's '72 CB750 had a sticky float and was leaking gas, John's '70 Triumph had some weird oil leak (but don't they all???), and my chain guard fractured at the rear mounting point (!). So after diddling around fixing these various issues, we finally hit the road and made our way up to Westminster for a late lunch. A great day overall - though we could have done without those problems! Scott looking over the fleet The Gang of Four - John, Scott, Lee and Me
