Points cam wiper

Post by ggray » Fri Jan 04, 2008 9:53 pm

While installing a new set of points I noticed the felt wiper/oiler which fits into the small set of fingers was missing. Anyone know where I could find one? My parts list shows them but does not list a part number.

What type of lubrcation should be used on this felt wiper?

Anyone mever make their own? if so, What material?

Thanks,

Gary

There's a patio door in my townhouse that has a weatherstrip made out of a similar felt material, so I just cut off a short section of that. It's grey, but who's going to notice? And I've always used engine oil as the lubricant.
