Superhawk on eBay yesterday

Post by 2ptbeat » Tue May 13, 2008 5:58 pm

Anyone else see this SuperHawk on eBay?

I am a newbie and just started shopping and I was just wondering what you all think this one is worth if it was still up for bid.

Thanks.

Beat, Welcome to the 305 forum. There are as many opions as there are members here ast to the value. So here's mine. Overall it looks perty nice, the low miles help but some non-original parts hurt the value. The first thing that jumps out at me is the cheapie mufflers. I don't care if a dealer installed them, they are cheesy looking. New repro mufflers (if you want to make it look original) will set you back some,so there is something to consider. It would need a new front fender as the one on the bike has ben chopped short. That is somthing we all did back in the day (dumb kids). I'm not so sure I'd pay quite that much (3,450.00) but they are going up in value every year so this one isn't too high. If you do find another like it or near to it try to be aware of the cosmetic needs, pipes, seat, fenders, etc. And ride it, see how it shifts see how it runs, stops and so on. Just an aside, in that price range you shouldn't be buying a project but a nice looking driving bike. Good Luck on your search, Kustommusic

I put my superhawk on Ebay on tuesday night. It is still active. I'm not sure if forum rules allow a link. For photo though, it is all original. I am deeply pained to sell it as it was my father's and he was the original owner, but go it must. I only hope it finds a good home. The bike has only had two drivers since 1966, he, then me. Man this is painful.
