the folks buying a 'skyhawk' will never notice :)

Yes, I painstakingly decided to sell it- It was late and it became a skyhawk! This was going to be a project with my brother, but he flaked out. And my work hours have just increased(and my wife left me, my mother has lung cancer and my father just had his leg amputated!). I probably would not be able to finish the bike this summer, so I decided to sell. I should just put a cover on it and store it, but I have limited space right now. My father met my mother on one of these bikes. This was a tough decision.

I would sell you the guard, but I do not think skyhawk parts fit on a superhawk!

best of luck, sorry to hear about the down time. Good thing we have good times to balance it out. Make some good times this summer, one way or another.
Concerning the wife thing... just remember, the opportunity to pursue new options should never be frowned upon. Keep at it.

Yes, I will search out something fun this summer. With luck, another bike. I agree with your wife comment- though it was painful for it to occur, her leaving was probably for the best. Now I can devote more time to Hondas! Thank you everyone for the good input, apologies that I could not see out the restoration of the Superhawk(Now dubbed skyhawk, I am also working on a Nighthawk, hence the confusion in my brain)

Year

The bike in the picture looks like my '67. I think it was the first year of the upswung seat by the tank.
