Need help with year

Post by BB » Thu Jul 10, 2008 7:06 pm

This seems to be a question everyone asks what year would my bike be? I tried to figure it out from posts but couldn't. The frame #C78- 1003367 the motor #C77E-1003414. The guy I bought it from figured it was 1964 but wasn't sure. Any help would be great.
Thanks BB

I am trying to figure the same thing out, my VIN starts with an A78-314*** what does that mean? The engine cases show a CA77E.

Any helpful hints on even a year range?

Your VIN should actually read CA78 314*** and looks like a 1964 Dream. The CA78 and CA77 are the same. Your engine stamp will be CA77E-***** unless it's been replaced at some point over the years.

May I ask why if the first number is a 3 you say it's a 1964? ........... ..lm
