Hello,

New here...just purchased a 1966 305...I'm a bit confused about the numbers

engine
CA77E-1014314

Frame
CA78-1013826

Has something been changed? I would expect to see CA77 on both?

thanks

CA78 is the US (or maybe North American) designation for the CA77. Nothing unusual. That seems to be a pretty big gap between frame/engine number, but they very rarely matched so I couldn't say if that gap is too large for it to have been the engine the frame left the factory with.
