Tonight I thought, what the hey. So I put the carbs back together, without throttle cable hook up, filled the float bowls, jumpered the battery, and kicked it over. 3 kicks and it popped a few times. 2 more kicks and it started and idled. Took the choke off and the revs picked up a little. The other 4 or 5 bikes I've rescued never started this easy...... I need to go to church and put money in the plate more often.
Now the work (spending money) begins. I am sure to stay on the wifey's good side till its not only running, but complete and plated.

Happy man revisited
PS. I found out the horn works too. How about that for smelling good after rolling in it.
