kick starter

Dave,Success! I took your advice and completely cleaned the kick starter mec. and there was a lot of grit and old grease etc. I then lubed it and got to thinking about pre-load . I'd been putting pre-load in a clockwise direction. Figured i'd try counterclockwise and that did the trick. It now snaps back to attention immediately! Thanks! I can be pretty dense at times! Bike should be on the road soon for the first time since 1979. i''ll try to add a pic of the bike. It still needs a few things like footpegs and some some new nuts and bolts. Pictures are too big, won't go through.

Well done Mike, I know I sometimes obverlook the simplest explanation, and dig in deeper than necessary. I'd love to see some pics of bike!
