fuel delivery questions

Post by dweber » Thu Sep 11, 2008 6:39 pm

I am the lucky/unlucky owner of a 1967 CA77. I bought it for 75 bucks but half of it came in old
milk crates. After sporadic work on it over the last 6 weeks, it seems that it is almost together.

By the way, what is the deal with the formatting-its like the keys don't work like a normal keyboard
on this site.

Anyway, I need to know how the fuel lines connect. The petcock has a banjo fitting on the side
which I presume goes to the body of the carburetor. There is another fitting on the underside of
the fuel tank which had duct tape over it with some crap stuffed in the hole. I suspect that this
fitting connects to the engine block in some manner. I am pretty sure that this is not going to be my last post.

You are correct about the petcock directly to the carb.the other 2 outlets are connected to each other by arubber fuel line. You may have to rebuild the prtcock, they usually leak like a seive aftersetting for a long period of time. $75.00 sounds like a bargain!
