bike died on me while riding
bike died on me while ridingi was luckly cusing down the road my house is on and my bike just shut off. i let out the cluch and it started back up, long story short, it looks like the bikes not recharging the electrical system properly. My fist guess is it's probably the rectifier, i believe i still have the original one on it. I have already purchased a spare one so i'll try that out soon. If anyone has any ideas or the same experances please let me know, i had to walk the bike about an 1/8 of a mile home in 93 deg weather with helmet and jacker on and it just wasn't enjoyable. I guess that's what i get for trying to sale broken headlights to people.

Re: bike died on me while ridingwell to days after both my bikes brok my car's CV joint boot tore a hole in it and now it's down. I still have not figured out what's wrong with the dream.

the plugs are black and it does not idle. does this mean it's not getting enough fuel?

Re: bike died on me while ridingRyan, If your plugs are black its likly to be too much fuel! Better check the carb make sure your float is set right and the float valve is working properly. Steve Greer
Re: bike died on me while ridingyeah, i'm gettin the carb reworked tonight, hopefully the bike will be up for a good ride after this.
