CA95 parts in a CA77?

Post by houseowax » Wed Dec 02, 2009 10:23 am

My ignition switch woes are not getting resolved as easily as I'd hoped. I was wondering if an ignition switch ( on the headlight- the keyed part, not the starter button on the handlebars) from a CA95 would be the same as the one in a CA77. I can't think of any reason why they'd differ, but I don't know what I'm talking about so I figure I'd ask those of you who do.

Thanks all-

I think it probably would be
here is a link to the CA95 manual, if it has the same number of wires coming out of it I con't see why you could not use it.

I have a CA77 and a C92, the ignition switches both look the same from the outside, but I have never pulled the CA77 one apart so I cannot be sure

Ok- so that worked out just fine. Got my ignition switch issues behind me, but now I've come up with a chance to buy the carb covers off a junked CA95. Anybody know if these will fit a CA77? I don't know the year, but it looks as if the Benly is 4-5 years newer than my 305.
