Restoration question.

Hi All,<br /><br />I am working on a 65 CA77 - 78 dream, I have the bike all torn down and have stripped paint from all parts except the body. I am getting rid of dings and scratches ect and have a question.<br /><br />It looks like at one point this bike had the bottom center of the chain guard dented. Then the chain burned a hole through.<br /><br />I can repair this hole however I can not be sure but I suspect that there was originally a small vent cut in the bottom of the chain guard to let out moisture... If someone out there would be willing to look under their bike and tell me if there is a small cut in the bottom center of their chain guard I would appreciate it.

There is a small opening about 1/2 way on the bottom piece of the chainguard. It is similar to the lip on a milk or juice pitcher and faces toward the back of the bike. If you can wait until tonight I will take a picture and post it.<br /><br />Jeff L.
