Loud Mouse: I have read with interest your postings re: the shifting mechanism. I have a similar situation; mine will miss 2nd gear and with a reshift goes into third. I have purchased a drum and forks on Ebay. The drum looks OK but there is wear on the fork ends. Where do you find them in " as new " condition? I have yet to split the case as I have had plenty of other issues to deal with so I am not wure what I will find in there.

no 2nd gearcase splittingMouse - Isn't there a bolt that has to be removed on the shift drum roller bracket that connects the two cases also?
Re: case splittingYes. One has to remove the entire clutch to get to the LARGE BOLT to remove the "Shift Drum Stopper Guide" then the cases can be split. ........lm
