Carb syncronizing with tubes

Post by DREW148BHP » Fri Jun 18, 2010 8:26 am

I am working on a 61 CB-77 Superhawk.

I have read all the carb syncronizing threads and none talk about using balancing tubes. Is it possible to use balancing tubes and get the carbs spot on? If someone has done this I would like to know the procedures. I tried using the tubes on the ports below and to the inside of the carbs and the reading were all over regardless of adjustments.

I have tried adjusting the slides and I think I have them spot on and then I moved to the idle to get it to run and then tried to adjust the air/fuel mixture screw and eventually it died and now won't start.

Hi,

Made a hole in the manifold with m4 thread and a hollow bolt where I fit the tube on. After carburetor work I put M4 bolts in it (with a sealing ring). The diameter of the bolt is 2.5 mm, reading is stable.
