1966 Dream..

I have the occasional problem of me not able to get it out of second gear...or actually not able to put it into 1st, to half click it to neutral. It just gets stuck. Scary and annoying.
Does this sound familiar???? This bike came out of 15. yr storage... worked fine right before...... 5,631 miles.

My 66 Dream does the exact same thing. I pull the clutch in and downshift quickly through the gears when i'm coming to a stop. I don't release the clutch through any of the gears.
This seems to eliminate it,but i'd still like to know what causes it.
