have the occasional problem of me not able to get it out of second gear...or actually not able to put it into 1st, to half click it to neutral. It just gets stuck. Scary and annoying.
Does this sound familiar???? This bike came out of 15. yr storage... worked fine right before...... 5,631 miles.

The trans has a problem when ya don't down shift until ya are stopped.
Have ya done any inspection/looked into the clutch?. .............lm
