I just purchased a CA? dream they told me it was a 1964 model but I have ny doubts it has a frame number that reads CA78-1016884 and an engine number that reads CA77-1016668
Can anybody tell me exactly what year it was built?
thanks ahead of time.[/img]

Welcome to the forum.
From the vin, your bike is a '65 or later model
The vin's went to 7 digit starting in '65, and there are no known breaks to indicate between 65, 66, & 67 models.
Probably a 65 or 66 though.
There should be a tag on the wiring harness (usually above the carb in the frame) with a year shown.

Hi,

I don't know exactly (there are different explanations), but it's common. In the latest years of production the frames were titled as C78 or CA78, engines always as C77 or CA77.
