Short Clutch Cable

I bought the low rise handle bar kit that comes with front break, throttle, and clutch cable for new bars. Has anybody else had the issue of the clutch cable being so dang tight and short that i can't even thread in the new cable?

Where did you find said kit?
I'd like to lower my bars, and I need to replace my cables anyway.
