Dream coil picutre

I recently picked up a Dream project with a lot of missing parts. One of the parts needed is a coil.
I have a coil but the two small wires are gone.
I want to replace them but need to know the color of each wire and which wire goes on the left and which goes on the right.

Could someone please post a pic of a coil mounted on the bike?

Mike, sorry but I don't have a picture but the wiring is simple. The green wire runs from the coil to the condenser and the black wire is your 12vdc, which should be connected to a black wire from the wiring harness. The spark plug leads don't care which spark plug they run to. Hope this helps. If I'm incorrect, perhaps somebody will straighten me out.

Tinman, Thanks,that really helps. Does the black wire come from the left side of the coil or the right side? Mike

Mike, as your looking at the coil when it's mounted in the bracket, the black and green wires come off of the harness thru an access hole in the frame just aft of the coil. So the wires will attach on the left side of the coil and the spark plug wires will be on the right facing forward.

Mike, black on black and green on green. The black and green wire may have been pushed back into the frame. The easiest way is to pull the battery and the odd shaped panel behind the battery and locate the end of the wiring harness. That way you can find the end of the wires. They should have a bullet connector on them. The black wire will read 12vdc when the battery is hooked up and the key turned on. Here is a link to the CA77 wiring diagram.

Mike, do you have the round early coil in the metal jacket or the molded plastic late one?
