If limitations of time or budget are depriving you of carburators for your Hawk,
you can get carbs for a Honda XR-200 for a very modest price, and they will likely work.
I got two on eBay, from a seller named caltric. I ordered them December 8 and they
arrived early in the morning of December 11. They were easy to install, and the bike
was running before noon December 11. I paid almost $44 for two new carbs.
Shipping was free to Florida.
The carbs bolt on with no mods, and install with no mods to the cable.
You may need to shim the tank up a bit, to prevent interference between
the fuel tap's bowl and the left carb. Each carb has its own choke, a lever on the left,
so the lever of the right carb's choke is between the carbs and not easy to reach.
Understand, they are not wonderful, but if carbs stand in your way,
consider these, from the source I named or another source.
Good luck!
