1966 honda dream ca77 crankcase question

Does anyone know if the 305's crankcase was painted originally? And if it was, do you know the color code? thanks a million.Mike

The crankcase was not painted. The clutch and kick covers were painted, but the crankcase was left natural cast.

I don't know about the factory engine paint but some users here have used VHT SP127 high temp engine enamel with good results. I just bought a can yesterday at Auto Zone.
