I think I forgot something :-)

Trying to get this CL72 ready to flip this coming weekend it developed an oil leak. Checked all the suspect seals and they seemed fine. Further investigation revealed it appeared to be coming from the split cases. Crap! Fix it or leave as is, it's a Honda, they don't leak oil. Convinced myself that I needed to fix it. Pulled the engine, flipped it over, split the cases and there it was, someone drove a wedge between the halves, didn't dress the upset on the sealing surface. I filed this down flush, resealed and proceeded to put it back together. Going back together I decided to check the clutch pack, seems these are always screwed up and this one was no exception. The "A" plate was a "B" and it had a thick CA type friction plate, one side was worn to nothing, from there out was correct. Remedied the problem, the clutch works very well now. I then noticed the clutch cover locating pins were missing, fixed that too. So I buttoned it all up, lit it off, no more oil leak, great! Just one minor problem.....................................................
Somehow I knew I was going to forget to put that in, so now that's taken care of. Took it for a ride up the street, outside of crappy brakes it runs great!

Of course, the all important conduit of oil between the stationary left engine cover and the rotating primary gear shaft. When I last looked at mine, it had stuck. As you know it is spring loaded to rub against the case, and mine was not free to slide in and out. Now all is well and I imagine my gears are much happier.
