CB77 engine break in advice

Post by Merz64cb77 » Fri Jun 15, 2018 7:57 pm

Last fall I had the top end of my stock CB77 worked on as the engine was seized when I bought the bike. I provided the engine builder art oem 4th over pistons and rings. He bored the head and also completed a valve job.

I’ve started the bike but have not taken it out for an initial ride.

Can anyone recommend how to break the engine in. How many heat/cool down cycles would be recommended? How long should the first couple rides be and should I hold the revs at low, medium and high?

Thanks for the advice

Opinions vary, but this is what Honda recommended.
