Magneto Question
When putting the magneto back on the spindle, is there a proper way to do it? On my CA95, it gave me fits because on that bike there's a certain trick to getting it on - you have to push and turn at the same time...with this CA77, I put the woodruff key in the spindle and tapped it back on...but is this right, and how far down the spindle is it supposed to go - all the way to the seal?
Oh, and Shop Safety Tip #1: when holding and de-rusting the big dynamo sprocket by hand with a steel wire wheel in a hand-held drill, do not let the power drill/wheel catch the sprocket teeth, jump, and walk up your shirt before digging into your chest and chin - put it in the vise instead. Never get too comfortable with power tools. Just sayin'...
Luckily it didn't bleed too much...;) Thank God for reversible drills.
