where does this set screw go?

67 ca77 305 dream, found this set screw while cleaning out the gunk in the valley on top of the crankcase, right under the carb. at first I thought it was a carb float pin, but after cleaning it up I found threads on one end and a screw driver slot on the other. its 20 mm long and 3 mm wide screw. can`t get a pic to upload.

A bit late with the reply but this sounds like the screw that holds the lighting switch knob onto the spindle of the switch.

Look after it as it's a 'hard to find' item.
