Right Engine Cover Removal
Right Engine Cover Removal
Anything special I should know (or be warned) about when removing the right case? Thanx.

You'll have to remove the footpeg bracket. Remove the 3 small phillips head screws, and the round alternator cover. Remove all of the phillips head screws that hold the cover on. Push the kick lever back to release spring tension, and wiggle the cover back and forth to remove. Nothing is going to fly out at you, and no oil will pour out.

So the alternator cover screws into the motor, not the cover. Wouldn't have assumed that.

Not exactly. The small round cover has three short screws which screw into the ends of special studs retaining the alternator.
Then the other screws hold the main cover to the crankcases.
Hold the kickstart lever when you remove the cover - it has a large spring which will try to make it rotate as you remove the cover.
