Choke position

Post by dlobby12 » Sat Sep 10, 2011 12:53 pm

Bike starts up easily with the choke wide open.
Is that good or bad?
Should it run with the choke open or closed?
It wont run at all with it all the way closed.
Thanks Mates.

Your bike should run with the choke open( choke lever in the down position) at operating temps. The choke is used (toward the up position) to richen the fuel mixture for starting when cold.It really depends how cold the ambient temp is to dictate how much choke you need when cold starting.
