replacement coil?

Post by KellieLyyne » Sun Dec 18, 2011 1:11 am

Any have a suggestion for a replacement coil for the Dream? The beast still won't start and we are wondering if it could be a bad coil.

Thanks Mike!!! We are narrowing down the issue with the bike, and it sure helps to have people like you around! Davo has been a great resource too. He has even offered to look at the bike for me (he lives somewhat locally). If we can't get it running soon, we will be taking him up on his offer. We just hate imposing on others.

Kellie,
You're welcome. No imposition. That's what we're here for. I had plenty of help from many members when I had problems with my Dream. Just returning the favor.

I know for sure this coil is good so you should be able to eliminate that suspect.

Thanks Mike. I have been very fortunate with people willing to offer help to us. LM even offered a telephone advice call, but at that time, my hubby was still trying to work out the kinks on his own, and wanted to narrow down some of the probable causes first. I think that frustrated LM, and I don't blame him. I sincerely appreciate all the help that has been offered. My hubby is shy/reserved, I am NOT.

Kellie,
I'd take lm and Davo's advice. They solved a problem that I was trying to figure out on my own for almost a year. If I hadn't listened to them I probably would have parted my Dream out.

Yeah I'm at that point myself! I know they know their stuff. I think we are going to step away from the bike until after the holidays, and revisit it in January. I'm sure I will be calling Davo again REAL soon. Until then, happy holidays everyone.
