Speedometer IndicatorSpeedometer IndicatorHI, I'm back. I was able to get to my bike to c/o the serial #'s. It's about 40 mi. from my home - sorry for the delay. The frame is 107738 and the engine is CA77E 107762. What year is my bike?? Also since my last post, I've seen an 'advertised' as '63' CA77 with no indicator in the speedometer. How were the wiring harnesses made - did all include the wires for the indicator? Doesn't seem like they would be made harnesses individually for each specific bike. BTW, which idicatior is the neutral indicator - a post above indicates that it is the one on the top of the headlight housing - I'm hoping this is true because I do not have the indicator in the speedometer.
Re: Speedometer Indicator
Your bike would have been made in 1964. The light in the headlight case is the neutral indicator, the light in the speedo face is the beam indicator. I don't know this for sure, but it is my belief that all the harnesses for the 'American' versions were the same. You only need a patch wire to power the light in speedo's with a beam indicator light. I believe the part number was 35453-262-305. I noticed that I said in a previous post I have seen 3 different faces for speedo's on these bikes. Well, I just remembered the Yazaki, so that would make 4. Oilleak
