CB77 Cam Needed

Post by bill440cars » Sat Aug 29, 2009 12:24 am

Problem is, I have a CL77 head that I want to use on my Super Hawk and I need, at least a decent left half of the camshaft, (or both sides, if not wanting to sell only half of it) to nbe able to use a tachometer on the bike.

Thanks, Bill

Bill, do you need the tach drive and cover as well? Measure your splins, as there are 2 different sizes. I might have the parts you need. PM me, and I'll check what I have.

Thanks Davomoto, Yes, I have the end piece with the drive. I wasn't aware of the different size splines.
SO, I just measure straight across it at the widest point? I'll have to check it out and get back to you later today (maybe, hopefully). Now, I am not in an urgent need, but am trying to round up things so I can get on with my Super Hawk Cafe Project soon as I can. I am sorta doing a mock-up as I can, to see just how I want to do certain things AND looking at others, to see if there are any points that jump out at me. I've got a general direction that I want to go with this one, but I'm looking for details to tie it all together. I really like the look that you have with yours. Soon as I get to where I can, I will start doing photos and put up a thread about the build, so I can be posting progress and photos.

I'll be in touch, and thak you, Bill

Bill, sorry, measure the shaft, inside the splines. I always mock-up the customs first, change things about 100 times, and then build, and change things 100 more times.

Gotcha, I'll get that done pretty soon here. Ha! Ha! I can well imagine you doing ALL those changes, as I will probably do the same! Thank you for the quick response on this.

Later on, Bill
