Greetings from new member in Boston with CB77

Kurt,

This is from the Honda Motorcycle Identification Guide or as I refer to it, The Honda Bible. From these pictures it looks like the centerstands are black and the bike appears to be red. Also the text reads: Fuel tank, forks, headlight shell and frame are unit color. I would probably be tempted to paint the stand unit color too!

hmmm ... red or black center stand on a red CB77 ... memory says red.

davemoto, when you said my colors are correct, did that include the red center stand? Maybe later models went to black stands?

Do you have any old pics of your bike from back in the day? That or a Factory brochure will be the most telling. The pictures that are in the Bible are all factory shots, unfortunately they are only in B+W.

All CB77s had a black centerstand.

Speaking about painted parts, what about the tail light mount? All of them silver or unit color?

Hi Phil -- I have it on good authority that the tail lamp/plate bracket is/was silver to match fenders.
