OK Ed, you got me lookin' close. I'm no expert, but I see the aircleaner issue, the seat, and no seat trim. What else ya got? I'm curious thats all, and I DO respect you opinion.

LM, fairly new at the cl77 resto stuff but am trying to do it correctly. I can see the seat and Air Cleaner issues, but the fender and cables I couldn't see the issue. I know this comes with time but is there a site you can point me to that shows what a correct bike is supposed to look like? I know vintage Mustangs details very well, but new to the 305 stuff but trying to come up to speed. BTW, were there turn signals on Scramblers? Craig

A parts book or fiche is a good place to start.
Ya will get more knowledge as ya ask questions/read this forum.
None of the US imports from HONDA had TS but the Domestic and some European bikes did. ................lm

Wow, you guys spot all kinds of things. I was wondering the differences between the 65 models and the 67. They look similiar to me for the most part. i have seen several without the seat trim and the muffler, but I recall all the ones here locally back in the day ditched the muffler and had snuff or nots! Makes me nervous about buying one since I might not catch something that would be expensive to correct. thanks for all the replies!

Without knowing what the final price will be, it still looks pretty sweet in the picture. A front fender just sold for $384 and I saw an exhaust for around $450 sold last week on Ebay and the one you are looking at seems to have those at least. If you want it to be "correct", at least get a good one that you can start with. From experiance, it makes life easier. Just my 2 cents.

Here's an update for you guys........the clutch cable broke at the end of my ride last Saturday so I immediately pulled it from EBay. With the help of Loud Mouse, I will soon have a new cable and have the bike road ready again. At that time, I will re-list on EBay with the same $3500 start price. Some may think that is high and maybe it is since the bike (as noted) is not all original. It's still a very nice example of a great motorcycle and I'm not selling just to get rid of it. I actually would rather keep it but economics tell me otherwise.
