Electric Start Free Spins Help Please

I went to crank up the CB77 and the electric starter free spins and does not turn over the motor then every once in a while it will catch and try to turn it over but it will crank up everytime kick starting it. Any idea what it might be

Well if it was my bike I would remove the cover on the end of the starter and a.) see if the chain is still intact and b.) see if the motor is actually spinning.

When my Dream did that it was flat spots on the rollers and weak springs in the starter clutch.

Almost certainly needs the starter clutch servicing. Rollers and springs at least, probably caps also -- 3 of each. Cheap as chips from Western Hills Honda.

Could be a problem within the starter gears, though.

Cool I took off the plates to check the chain everything is intact so gonna check the springs and stuff

Is there a trick to get the starter clutch off? I know you need the puller where can I get one or is there any way else to get it off.

You need a puller. Do a search on this site for options.
