Dream 250 Carb settings

I am hoping you all can give me a base line for my carb. I have a early model 1963 CA72 that has 2MM oversize pistons making it a 267cc. I think the needle is stock size and on the middle notch, the needle jet is #115 and the slow jet is #35. I have stock mufflers and a UNI pod air filter. Overall, ...

original seat color?

Hello all, I am wondering if someone knows how my blue '63 CA72 came to have a red seat. Were they sent from the factory that way, did the dealer do it as a gimmick or did the previous owner replace the original? I want to re-cover my seat but haven't decided which color. I have only seen blue Dream...

Thanks to all!

I just wanted to thank everyone on this site. Today I started my '63 Dream 250 for the first time, it hasn't run since 1972. Thanks to LoudMouse for the headwork! I don't know you all, but your help has been great on everything. Not trying to gush, but a "Thank You All" is in order.

Thats a good idea about the valves. I'm pretty sure they are going to need a lapping but I will check with the leak test. I already ordered the new big bore kit, $50 gets me new pistons, rings and head gasket. That part was easy. Has anybody here honed their own cylinders?
