Ca 78 petcock screws

Post by OC305 » Thu Dec 27, 2012 1:53 pm

I have a 69 CA 78 that will be restored this coming summer, but in the meantime I would like to ride it on nice days, one problem is the original petcock, it continues to supply fuel to the carb when in the off position. Iam planning on restoring this petcock when I do the rest of the bike but for now I bought one of the aftermarket ones off of e-bay. It looks to be of good quality but the screws supplied are iso metric and mine need to be jis, where would I go to get 5mm x .9 jis thread? I live in the Portland OR. area. also the screws need to be much shorter than originals. thanks Pat

I found the screws that I needed the 5mmx.9 at Ohio Cycle, Nick was good to work with and very knowledgeable.
